This complex is built on an old vineyard in the Portuguese town of Parada, the Hotel Canino y Felino is a design accommodation in which there is no lack of individual rooms, a swimming pool and a training garden for pets. It was designed by Raulino Silva architecture, it is composed of three grayish-white blocks connected by external corridors to accommodate three areas with different uses.
In the entrance building, we can find the service spaces, with the reception, the warehouse, the bathroom area, the veterinarian’s office, the administrative area and the support bathrooms.
The dog boarding building is located in front of the training field, it is the largest and has two floors. All rooms have large windows that look out onto the gardens.
Dogs can play outside and enjoy a dog training field and swimming pool. This area is totally secure thanks to a mesh fence
The single-story cat building is the smallest and features twelve separate living spaces, with a central garden space for feline play that is illuminated by a large skylight. This Canine and Feline Hotel has been shortlisted for the «hotel building of the year» at the Dezeen 2020 Awards.
