The homeless dogs and cats of Penonomé in the province of Coclé will be able to feed from now on in municipal feeders, which have been placed in some points of this city.
The mayor of the district explained that the initiative is aimed at «satiating a little the hunger and thirst that animals spend on the street.»
«Despite not yet having the animal welfare office, we will continue to implement solutions to various situations that we have detected, in addition to those that reach our number of complaints,» said Paula González, mayor of the district through social networks.
“Inform us of a place where you consider that a feeder for little animals is needed,” added González.
Likewise, any interested person can approach and donate food, which will be collected by the community liaison office.
These animals have also suffered the ravages of the pandemic and the cases of abandonment and abuse have increased.
